THE "UNBLOG" BLOG
Welcome to the “Unblog blog”. What is that you ask? That’s where I buck the traditional blog style and create my own. It’s a short paragraph style dedicated to the power reader, mover and shaker that only has 1-3 min to read a blog because they’re out moving and shaking and don’t have an extra 10 min to spare or if you’re someone like me or most of us, your attention span is short, so you can only read one paragraph without looking to read the latest celebrity gossip, like what other Kardashian made the Forbes list, or who has the latest lip kits, who’s dating who, what's the depressing local news for the day, blah, blah, blah...etc. With that being said, your 1-3 min read begins now.
"Just Venting and Vibe-ing"
It took me years to get here, years to get to a place where I’m ok with my brain being all over the place. I am a creator, an artist, and by nature creatives are a little "all over the place"; erratic, nutty, even disillusioned about life, our dreams, our reality. We have to be dreamers to exist here and not get sucked into the craziness of the world.
However, I am also prone to self-doubt, self-loathing, and self-deprecation; but I fight those thoughts with all the positivity I have in me, so those moments are few and far between now.
I give a lot of myself to helping others figure out the muddled thoughts in their own heads, somehow make sense of the mess; release what’s inside of them verbally to make room for the positivity. Negative thoughts crowd and clutter the mind. They get stuck on the roof of your brain like peanut butter that won’t come off. Eventually you’ll melt negativity with positive reinforcements along the way and that peanut butter will slowly run down the back of your brain like liquid with joy, love, and gratefulness that floods the mind and soul (Where do I come up with these metaphors, not sure, but you get the point). I say all this to say it's ok to be a little nutty sometimes and be ok with it. It took me a while to realize that. That's all.
Ok, how many minutes did that take movers and shakers?
